Oak + Fort Store Card Re-Design

I chose to re-design Oak+Fort’s store card, a store that opened in Gastown, Vancouver in 2010. Their clothes have a minimal aesthetic. Now with over 13 stores across North America, they “strive to innovate and provide attainable luxury, taking inspiration from various forms of art and culture.”

This is their store gift card, which is minimalistic, just like the clothes they sell.

Although it goes well with the store’s aesthetic, I think that it’s a little too simple. I re-designed the card so that it reflects not only the minimalism of their clothing, but also their inspiration from art and culture.

The lines on the card reflect minimalism but also the contemporary side of today’s art, found in many home designs, clothing and jewelry.
